I worked on the boardwalk for a huge portion of my life. First as a young teen along side my pop Big Al, shuckin’ summer clams for Bob Fuggi’s Beachcomber Clam Bar. Then I settled in long term at Union Jacks Records. Here’s to some great people who always had my back, and I want to honor them in this moment! To all the business owners, & all my friends directly affected by the devastating horrible fire in Seaside.. Especially my main boardwalk family – Union Jacks’s Earle, Taylor, and Bradley Livingston, as well as Berkeley Sweet Shop’s Bernt Hage and family, Playboy’s Jim Brown who I once made laugh and / or smile, Paul Schneider who still knows my name, 3 Brothers John & Lucy, Steve from Jack N Bills, Beachcomber Mike, Big Hearted John and his entire awesome family, the Maruca’s, the hardest working women in Seaside Helen Stewart and Bobby & Family, my main man Mr Joe, and extra specially Bruce and Nancy Kohr! Love you all and sending you good vibes and lots of strength!
Did you live, work & play on the boards? What’s your Seaside Story?? Would love to hear your tales of the glory days of meeting the love of your life, winning prizes, hanging with friends, and living it up!
Super-Greetings!
